RESOLVA is assisting BeGreen with the recruitment of a Legal Counsel – Real Estate.
BeGreen is a growing and highly successful solar PV company looking for a talented person with a Master of Laws and practical experience within real estate, to take on the role as Legal Counsel.
As part of the legal function in BeGreen, you will be working very independently focusing on drafting and negotiating deeds, land leases, and a range of other related contracts and documentation regarding the purchase, lease, or other access rights to real estate, advising on and handling regulatory matters related to real estate, and engaging with land surveyors, land owners, authorities and various other parties. The work will in addition to your solid legal skillset require practical and commercial skills as the lawyers at BeGreen play a key role as trusted advisors and team members in relation to all activities and projects.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
As Legal Counsel you will be required to:
- Independently handle the legal aspects of BeGreen’s real estate transactions and management, namely by:

- Preparing, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating real estate deeds, land leases, and a range of other contracts and documentation regarding the purchase, lease, or other access rights to real estate.
- Advising on and handling regulatory matters related to real estate including application, documentation, and registration activities with the Danish Land Registry.
- Engaging with various cooperation partners, service providers, and counterparts, such as land surveyors, land owners, and authorities.

- Working towards optimizing work processes and procedures related to BeGreen’s work with real estate (related to both development and operational phases).
- Working closely together with and advising other stakeholders in BeGreen, especially the technical department and procurement & logistical department as well as dedicated project managers.
- Instructing and working together with external legal advisors to the extent required.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:
Education: You have a Master of Laws and possibly also license to practice as attorney-at-law from a reputable law firm.
Real estate & contract law: Ideally, your professional experience includes working within the corporate real estate sector, e.g. in a law firm, property management company, real estate developer or other corporate where legal and practical aspects of real estate have been an important part of your role.

Language skills: You are fluent in English and Danish and have solid experience with working with legal documents in both languages.

The legal team is based in Copenhagen and consists of Head of Legal Christoffer Kjærgaard Danielsen and three commercial lawyers. From providing legal assistance to getting involved in almost every legal aspect of the solar park projects, the legal team plays a vital role in BeGreen in all phases of the life cycle of BeGreen’s solar projects (development, construction, operations & maintenance) whether this relates to contracting, regulatory support, compliance, project management, etc.
