RESOLVA is assisting BeGreen with recruitment of an experienced and ambitious lawyer for the position as Senior Compliance Officer.

BeGreen is a growing and highly successful solar PV company looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to head up its compliance function in the legal team. We are looking for a strong compliance professional with solid insights into a range of legal compliance areas and a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.

As Senior Compliance Officer in BeGreen you will be responsible for all aspects of legal compliance in relation to BeGreen’s activities, and you will be responsible for further developing and implementing BeGreen’s legal compliance strategy and processes. You will also be exposed to all aspects of BeGreen’s activities as the legal team gets involved in all legal aspects of the solar park projects.



As Senior Compliance Officer you will be required to:

  • Head up the legal compliance function in BeGreen.
  • Develop and implement an overall legal compliance strategy for BeGreen.
  • Ensure that BeGreen’s policies and procedures comply with regulatory rules and ethical standards
  • Design, implement and monitor control systems with respect to compliance with regulatory rules and internal policies.
  • Work closely together with our ESG department to ensure a strong link between our ESG commitments and the legal compliance function.
  • Work with management with respect to reporting on compliance issues as well as development of compliance strategies.
  • Work together with external legal advisors on certain compliance issues.
  • Lead employee training sessions on legal and compliance issues.

Titel: Senior Compliance Officer



Education: You have a Master of Laws or similar and possibly also degrees or certifications in specific compliance areas.

Legal Compliance: You have a minimum of 5 years of experience from a legal compliance position, preferably as an in-house counsel, compliance officer or similar. Relevant compliance areas could be sanctions, export control, GDPR, REMIT and energy regulations.

Energy industry: Ideally, your professional experience includes working with compliance in the energy industry, other extractive industry, or a highly regulated industry with comparable compliance requirements.

Structured: You have a structured approach and appreciate the value of operationalizing legal compliance to improve results and reporting.

Language skills: You are fluent in English and have solid experience with legal English in relation to drafting. Knowledge of Danish is a plus.



Strong communicator: You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and you are able to distill complex legal issues into clear language that also takes into consideration the commercial context.

Result oriented: You are ambitious and motivated to expand BeGreen’s compliance function and provide results. You have a can-do attitude and are happy to take on responsibility.

Pro-active: You are proactive with a natural inclination to take initiative and drive a process, and you have the ability to work and thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Team player: You are a team player that shares knowledge and insights with the team to further the common agenda and create synergies.

BeGreen’s organization works from the offices in Haslev, Göteborg and Copenhagen and includes approx. 40 employees. The legal team consists of a Head of Legal Christoffer Kjærgaard Danielsen and three commercial lawyers. From providing legal assistance to getting involved in almost every legal aspect of the solar park projects, the legal team team plays a vital role in BeGreen in all phases of the life cycle of BeGreen’s solar projects (development, construction, operations & maintenance) whether this relates to contracting, regulatory support, compliance, project management etc.
