BeGreen is one of the first companies in Northern Europe to build solar PV parks and produce certified green energy without receiving subsidies of any kind, while still delivering attractive electricity prices for consumers and a stable, high return for its investors.
BeGreen specialises in developing and selling large-scale solar PV plants, and its clients include major institutional investors. BeGreen sells its projects as turnkey plants with appropriate long-term service and maintenance agreements to ensure alignment of interest with its clients in both the short and long term. BeGreen has operations in Denmark, Sweden and Poland. BeGreen’s mission is to produce and supply cheap, sustainable power, thereby contributing positively to its customers’ everyday lives, society at large and the climate.
BeGreen was founded by and is currently still part of the Bregentved Group, owned by the Moltke family since 1746. However, on 2 November 2022 the global energy company Equinor announced its acquisition of 100% of BeGreen. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval. Following closing of the transaction, BeGreen is set to continue its operations in the Equinor group, and BeGreen is therefore continuing its upscaling efforts.
BeGreen remains committed to its projects and takes responsibility for operating and managing its solar PV parks and ensuring that parks are running smoothly and providing the highest reliability of supply available.
