RESOLVA is assisting LEMAN with the recruitment of a talented lawyer with substantial experience to take on the role as Head of Risk, Insurance & Compliance.

LEMAN is searching for a seasoned lawyer who is passionate about compliance, contracts, and insurance to join the team as Head of Risk, Insurance & Compliance.

In this role, you’ll be the captain of the ship, responsible for navigating LEMAN through sometimes uncharted waters and ensuring that we remain compliant with laws and regulations. You’ll also play a key role in reviewing and advising on complex contracts, and ensuring that these contracts align with LEMAN´s insurance policies.

We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, driven, and has a strong commercial mindset. You should be organized and practical in your approach, and able to build strong relationships throughout the LEMAN organization. You should have solid legal skills and be able to keep the big picture in mind while adhering to relevant regulations.

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

As Head of Risk, Insurance & Compliance, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining LEMAN’s legal compliance procedures, including those related to GDPR, sanctions, and anti-bribery.
  • Reviewing and advising on complex contracts.
  • Monitoring business risks and aligning these with insurance coverage.
  • Updating and managing LEMAN’s global insurance programs and ensuring annual renewals with the help of an external insurance broker.
  • Overseeing the claims handling process and working with specialist law firms on disputes.
  • Leading a team in support of LEMAN’s expansion strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in law, with at least 7 years of post-graduation experience. Practical experience with insurance coverage is a plus, but not required. You should also have a strong understanding of the commercial context in which you’ll be operating and be able to weigh commercial priorities against legal considerations. Strong English and Danish language skills are a must.

As a pro-active self-starter with a results-oriented mindset, you should be comfortable taking the helm, setting sail, and navigating through different kind of water. But fear not, you are surrounded by great colleagues, ready to support you when needed. Here it helps being a skilled communicator with the ability to engage in constructive dialogue with colleagues from different professions and perspectives.

This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer, Christian Møller Laursen.
