RESOLVA is assisting NTG with the recruitment of an ambitious and talented lawyer with strong legal skills, experience, and interest in international commercial and corporate law to take on the role as NTG’s Group General Counsel. Group Legal is based in NTG’s headquarters in Hvidovre and consists of a small team of highly engaged in-house legal professionals providing business focused advice to all parts of the organization.

As Group General Counsel, you will be responsible for leading the legal team and providing legal support to management and colleagues at NTG in a broad range of legal areas including contracting, M&A, company law, and compliance work. Further, you will be supporting and sparring with other business functions in relation to various legal issues, and you will be involved in managing outside counsel in relation to transactions, disputes and similar projects requiring external legal support.

  • Leadership responsibility for Group Legal at NTG, including facilitating that sufficient legal workstreams cover the activities of the group and strengthening the cooperation between Group Legal and other functions within NTG.
  • Drafting and negotiation of a wide range of (typically) international contracts and designing and organizing processes for strengthening NTG’s contract processes.
  • Participating in preparation and execution of M&A projects, including the drafting and negotiating of a wide range of transaction related documents and project work related hereto.
  • Together with Group Legal’s head of compliance ensuring that adequate processes and procedures are in place to meet relevant legal compliance standards.
  • Standardising and automating legal processes across NTG and developing and facilitating training and educational courses on legal topics across the organization.



Reporting to – EVP, Peter Grubert – Part of Group Management

Your title – Group General Counsel



Education – A Master of laws degree with high proficiency.

Work experince – A minimum of 6-7 years of experience from a law firm and/or in-house legal role in a larger corporation.

Legal areas of specialization – Substantial experience with international commercial and corporate law is a requirement. Experience from the transportation industry or with transport law and/or listed companies and capital market law is a plus.

Leadership – Preferably, experience with leading and building legal teams, setting direction, taking responsibility, and retaining and motivating team members.

Language skills – Strong Danish and English language skills.



Pro-active – Proactive with a natural inclination to take initiative and drive a process.

Result oriented – Focused on delivering the best possible legal and commercial result with the given constraints and deadlines in mind.

Integrity and openness – A high level of integrity and openness that can facilitate a constructive work environment where trust, respect and mutual consideration is prioritized.

Communication – Clear communicator with the ability to keep things simple and communicate in both Danish and English with stakeholders at all levels of the NTG organization in a clear and concise manner.
