ABOUT EUROPEAN ENERGY

European Energy is a Danish renewable-energy pioneer founded in 2004, dedicated to accelerating the global green transition. Today, the company counts roughly 875 passionate colleagues and operates across 25 OECD markets, giving it one of the broadest footprints in the sector.

The group develops, builds and operates large-scale solar PV and on-/offshore wind parks, while also integrating battery storage and carbon-capture solutions into its sites. As a first-mover in the hydrogen/Power-to-X sector, European Energy in 2025 commissioned the world’s largest commercial e-methanol plant in Kassø, supplying green fuel to Maersk, the LEGO Group and Novo Nordisk.

Its agile, end-to-end business model covers everything from early site screening through construction and long-term operation, allowing the company to tailor “develop-and-own” or turnkey divestment solutions for institutional investors. At the end of Q1 2025 the portfolio stood at 1.2 GW under construction and 1.3 GW in operation, underscoring a proven ability to scale while recycling capital through selective asset sales.

Guided by its “Powering Up 2026” strategy, European Energy is doubling down on core solar and wind, industrialising Power-to-X production and driving operational excellence across geographies. Sustainability sits at the heart of this plan: the company embeds biodiversity safeguards, circular-economy principles and robust climate-mitigation targets in every project to deliver affordable, fossil-free energy that powers a fairer, more resilient society.
