Pharmacosmos is expanding its legal team and is looking for an experienced and dedicated lawyer for the position as Legal Counsel to support a growing need for legal support to the company and its local and international activities.

Legal team
The legal team is led from Denmark with additional team members located in the US. The legal team consists of 6 persons, including VP and General Counsel, Milena J. Olsen, who is heading the legal team (and reports directly to the CEO, Tobias S. Christensen), 2 senior lawyers and 1 student in Denmark, and 2 senior lawyers in the US. The legal team is handling all legal matters within the company and support the business in all its activities (including various projects and business development) and as such advice within a broad range of legal areas including, M&A, IPR and licensing, corporate law, compliance, and general contract law. You will be a part of an international legal team working closely with other departments in Pharmacosmos both in Denmark and abroad.
The role as Legal Counsel will be based at Pharmacosmos’ headquarter in Holbaek with flexibility to work from home on a regular basis after agreement.
Areas of Responsibility
As Legal Counsel at Pharmacomos, you will provide legal assistance to the business in Denmark and abroad in relation to the following key areas:
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts with customers, partners, and vendors, such as sales, purchase and supply agreements, commercialisation and distribution agreements, consultancy agreements, and none-disclosure agreements etc.
- Support business development activities through licensing and acquisitions, and in connection with such acquisitions conduct due diligence review of contracts and review and advise on various M&A related documents (such as share purchase agreements, asset transfer agreements, in-license and other IPR related agreements etc.).
- Execute and advice on Pharmacosmos’ compliance program within business ethics and personal data protection, assist with screening/due diligence on third parties and ensure that contracts are put in place in line with external and internal requirements.
- Monitor legal trends and developments within relevant areas.

Ideal Experience
Education: You have a Master of Laws (cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.) from Denmark.
Work experience: You have as a minimum 4 years of post-graduate work experience from a law firm and/or inhouse legal position (experience from the pharmaceutical industry would be a plus).
Legal Areas: You have experience with contract drafting, contract negotiations and preferably also practical experience within M&A processes (or project management within comparable legal fields) and / or regulatory compliance.
Language skills: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language and substantial experience with legal English in relation to drafting and negotiating.
